We at Region1304   strive to deliver & develop quality youth soccer programs where everyone builds positive character through participation in a fun, fair, safe, family environment based on the AYSO philosophies: Everyone plays, Balanced teams, Positive Coaching, Open Registration, Good Sportsmanship.

Region 1304 was started by a group of volunteers looking to find away of keeping kids off the streets. The program is run by non paid volunteers who spend approximately 20 hours a week making sure all children play.

Region 1304 began in 1999 by the Hollenbeck Police Departments PAL program.  Officer Glenda Brooks met with a few people from Saint Mary's Church on 4th and Chicago one afternoon to discuss starting a soccer league.  She had contacted the California AYSO to see if they could help in any way.  They sent out Ray Arce and Tom Rios to discuss what needed to be done.  Augustin and Luz Sotello were also at that meeting and stated that they would like to help.  No one at that time wanted to be Commissioner, so Officer Brooks was Commisssioner for the first two years.  Augustin Sotello became Commissioner.  Sign-ups began and our first season started with 130 children playing soccer at Hollenbeck Middle Schools.  The league began to grow immediately.  Office Brooks and Ray Arce met with the Councilman of Boyle Heights and told him of their needs o have a dedicated field for the AYSO league.  The Councilman of the 14th District was instrumental in helping us get Boyle Heights Sport Center.   He also, got us two metal bins to stor our equipment.    After Augustin became ill, Jose Estrada stepped up to become Commissioner. The region since then has grown and still continues to grow. The volunteers work with boys and girls ages 41/2 through 18.
